Sandra Burchartz has lived, worked and traveled extensively; in the Middle-East, Far-East and Eastern European countries. You can recognize the influences and characteristics in her work, < like the light fall, colors and the typical atmosphere > which inspired her significantly.
Burchartz studied at the Academie of Art; the Amsterdamse Mode Academy and the Gerrit Rietveld Academy. She also studied Art History. Before she started with oil-painting, she worked as an illustrator and fashion stylist.

Preferred materials are oil-paint on linen or if applicable tempera/egg on wood panel if she is painting an icon. Next to paint she applies alternative materials like, gold paper, silk and stone into the paintings.

Burchartz’s fashion and illustration-background is still recognizable in the collection of illustrated cards she designed for a publisher: fashionable men and women illustrated with a humoristic appearance.
As exposed in her portfolio, the artist is very much occupied with assignments of companies and individuals.
